DB Defence hold Supplier Conference

Following the success of a virtual conference held in December 2025, DB Defence (DB) hosted a face‑to‑face conference at the Cedar Court Hotel in Huddersfield on Wednesday 15 April.

The theme of the conference was “On the Same Page”, providing attendees with a deeper insight into our programmes, key milestones, and forecasts for new business across our three Integrated Project Teams (IPTs): Marine, Sub surface, and Land Defence. We also shared our supply chain strategies and highlighted the vital role suppliers play in DBD’s continued success.

The day included presentations from the Supply Chain Director, Head of Procurement, IPT Directors, Manufacturing Director, Head of Infrastructure, Supplier Quality Manager, and a presentation from one of our suppliers, Quest, demonstrating “partnership in action”. The quality of discussion and level of engagement throughout the event were a real credit to all those involved.

Both DBD and the 70 suppliers in attendance viewed the event as positive and successful, with feedback received to date being extremely encouraging.

The conference reinforced a shared understanding that quality, reliability, and continuous improvement are collective responsibilities. The willingness of suppliers and internal teams alike to engage openly and constructively demonstrates a strong foundation on which we can continue to build more effective, high‑performing partnerships.
